How do you remove old silvering from old mirrors?
I'm trying to reuse an old mirror as a piece of glass but need to get the silvering off. The " paint backing " came off easy enough with a razor blade but the actual silvering is much more stubborn.

Wall of mirrors?!?! tacky or cute and original?!?!?
okay, so in my room i have a mini staircase thats leads to a mini loft place where my bed is. i was wondering, if it would look cool if i put a bunch or different mirrors with colored frames on the wall beside the staircase. would that look cool? they would have little gaps between them of coarse and i would make the gaps even if i can. would that look cool? also, do you know where i could get some really cool mirrors with really cool frames? thanks < 3

Will Ikea Sorli mirrors tear up wall when removed?

Where can I buy frameless mirrors?
I am looking for where I can buy frameless mirrors You know those mirrors that you just hang on your room door? I want that sized, but frameless I don't need thick mirrors, it can be as thin as it can be. I am thinking of purchasing about 4 5 of them, and lining them up neatly on a section of a wall in order to make a dance studio like environment in my living room. So basically, the cheaper the better, the thinner the better so that it doesn't fall off... and of course less money. Where can I buy these?? I tried walmart but they only had the framed ones that you hang on the wall... Home depot only had beveled edges, but I need flat ones so I can just line them up and see myself dance in the mirror

I need an alternative to mirrors!!!!!!?
I have a garage that I'm making into a small studio and I have basically everything figured out except for this super dark place where the dinning room and kitchen are suppose to be. Now I know that light colors can make a big difference in the way the room looks and I've done my best to try and find the perfect shades for this dungeon. My mom says adding a mirror helps and I did but honestly i think its too small. My mom suggested that I put a huge mirror so when I open the door it looks nice and bright. The thing is I'm low on cash I already went way over my budget in this project. I really need help So aside from aluminum foil is there another cheap way to create a mirror like effect , for a large space????

How to remove a large wall mirror assembly?
We have a house which was built in 1979. In the living room, there's a large mirror assembly. About 4 feet tall and about 6 feet wide. They give off a bronze color and have nice tapered edges. It looks nice to us, but we're selling the house and getting comments that it is outdated. We want to take it down, but we can't figure out how to do it. It has 5 vertical panels which look to be held up by two tracks. One on top and on on the bottom. We tried sliding the mirrors out, but they won't budge. The space behind the mirrors is so small that we can't see behind it to see if there's epoxy or something gluing the panels to the wall. The channels are pinched very tight to the mirrors on top and bottom. I don't want to start prying them away from the mirror unless I know that this is how to remove them for sure. Other than breaking them, any ideas?
