Question: What is considered living space when you are figuring square footage of a home?

Are bathrooms, halls. Is it wall to wall or do you count off for cabinets and countertops?

It is the heated space, attic garage and basement excluded

You measure wall to wall. Bathrooms yes, hallways no (I think). Usually basements are also excluded, unless they are a "finished " basement. Same with attics.

It is the entire living space of the house including everything but the garage. If your house is 30' x 45'(excluding garage unless it's closed in to be a room)the total sq ft will be 1350 sq ft.
