How to build this air plant display (any handy home depot people)?

Question: How to build this air plant display (any handy home depot people)?

In this picture, there is a display on the left side that holds air plants. It looks like a metal pole with circular rings fastened to it at various heights. I'd like to make something like this. Any ideas on the supplies? Money is an issue for me, but I don't want to make the circles out of bent paper clips. Is there anyone who spends more time at home depot and has seen some sort of circular clamp that would do the trick? Any suggestions welcome. http:/ / picasaweb.google.com/ lh/ photo/ vL- e41PM7Y_4lb9AF8g2HQ?feat=directlink bamboo, good idea, neighbors have a bunch, might just get some free cuttings. Coat hangers, too ghetto looking to make a nice display, plus I'm not strong, couldn't bend 20 of them to make all the circles.

Forget Home Depot, or any "store-bought " materials. The poles can be ordinary stakes or boards split to what looks like 1/ 2 inch by 1/ 2 inch. Or you could use bamboo trimmings that someone has discarded at the curb for rubbish pickup. Or you could use any kind of curb discarded pipe or metal tubing [like from pole lamps, closet rods, etc.]. For the wire circles, I would use "scrounged up " household electrical wire scraps, again collected from the curb where people have discarded it for the dump. Also, for the wire circles, you could use old metal coat-hangers. By using curbside discards for projects we protect our landfills from premature fill-up.
